It's hooked up to an eight-speed automatic transmission and can be had with front- or all-wheel drive. The entry-level engine in the Nautilus lineup is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 250 horsepower. We'd replace the standard 18-inch wheels with 20-inch rollers-the 18-inchers look too small on the Nautilus's curvy frame-otherwise we'd keep options to a minimum. For the extra cash they pay versus the Standard trim, buyers will enjoy a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a 13-speaker Revel audio system, in-dash navigation, a power-adjustable steering column, and heated and cooled front seats. The midrange Reserve trim strikes us as the best balance of value and luxury. Lincoln has also swapped out some colors, adding Artisan Blue, Green Gem, Iced Mocha, Red Carpet, and Chroma Elite Copper to the palette. The Reserve trim can now be ordered with a Luxury package that adds a hands-free power liftgate, a 13-speaker Revel stereo system, and the ability to use a smartphone app to lock and unlock the SUV. A new Premium package is available and includes 18-inch wheels, a power-adjustable steering column, a universal garage-door remote, and in-dash navigation. It received a more thorough interior redesign last year, so for 2022 the Nautilus gets just a few changes. In Black Label guise, its premium interior is truly impressive. The Nautilus's handling is far more relaxed, but it delivers a placid ride. Even with the more powerful engine, however, you won't find any of the spiciness that makes rivals such as the Audi SQ8, the Porsche Cayenne, or the Maserati Levante desirable. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine comes standard, but we'd suggest the optional twin-turbo V-6.
